I recently had a fantastic trip to the South East of England. I took a plane to Gatwick airport from which I rented a car. I had never rented a car before and being used to my run down and very old thing, it was fantastic to drive something more modern and more comfortable and it cost me a lot less than I had expected too. It almost made me want to sell my old car, but I am rather too attached to it!

I drove from Gatwick down to Brighton, which is where I stayed, with some friends. I am sure that the weather helped, but everything seemed to be fantastic that week. We had lovely walks, great parties and chats and generally a very relaxing holiday with some very old friends. The sun shone the whole week and although it wasn’t boiling hot, it was lovely to walk along the beach in just a sweater and not get cold, despite a little windblown. The car was great because they live a distance away from town and so I could drive everyone wherever we wanted to go. I do not drink so when we went to parties I could take them. It worked out brilliantly. Then when the week was over I could drive myself to the airport and drop off the car there and then. It was so much better than having to worry my friends to give me a lift or sort out taxis which are always so expensive.

Whatever car you want to hire, you can rest assured that you will be able to hire it from Gatwick. It all depends what you’re after really, I can guarantee that if there is a car that takes your fancy then you will be able to hire it. If you are a businessman, naturally, you aren’t going to want to drive a car with many seats; it’s unnecessary and quite frankly, wasted money. You may want to drive that Mercedes C class that you’ve always had one eye on but never been sure about. Hiring it is the perfect way to get a test drive and that is possible for between £250 and £500 (depending on what perks you want too).

On the other hand, you may be on a family holiday and not want to shell out a fortune for a car that is going to be driving kids around London. For this there are numerous cars for much less money that can be hired; with makes ranging from Kia (from £130) to Ford (from £97). This is a great, convenient way to save money and ensure that you can keep tabs on all the kids!

What you see is what you get – there are no hidden fees that are going to be thrown in out of the blue and the company is run with the utmost transparency. You can pick up the car from an address that is specified when you order the car and the service is so quick and easy to use that only a fool would choose not to!
